The First Tee of St.
Petersburg - 2008 Summer Junior Golf Program
About: Camps are open to boys and girls ages 6 to 16. The program is
coordinated by a PGA Professional instructor and has the backing of The First
Tee Life Skills Curriculum Certification. The various programs place an
emphasis on fun, sportsmanship and fundamentals of the game. There will also be
junior championship tournaments and awards. If necessary, golf equipment and
instructional materials will be provided. A variety of different programs are
available to choose from and include daily one-hour clinics, full day weeklong
camps, half-day weeklong camps and tournament programs.

About: Great introduction to the
game of golf. For boys and girls, ages 6 to 12. Teaches fundamentals and rules

The First Tee of
Clearwater - 2008 Junior Golf Summer
Camp
About: The First Tee of Clearwater
is very excited about its summer programming for junior golfers. We will be
implementing the proven curriculum of The First Tee. The curriculum will teach
all of the golf skills necessary to play the game of golf and will also teach
nine core values: Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Courtesy,
Judgment, Confidence, Responsibility and Perseverance through various golf
activities. The programs are structured for children ages 5-10 and for children
ages 11-18. All participants in the summer programs will become members of The
First Tee of Clearwater and receive a golf hat. Golf equipment is available to
all participants. If you have your own equipment please bring it the first day
of camp. The instructors will assess the equipment for you.
Junior Golf Camp
Designed for ages 5 -10
About: This session will be offered
as an introduction to the game of golf and will include the "Target" curriculum
of The First Tee. The participants will be instructed in golf depending on
their individual level of skills. This session includes: three hours of
instruction per day on topics such as grip, stance, posture, putting, chipping,
pitching, full swing, nine core values, course time, snacks and contests. All
programs will be conducted at The Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy.

structured for participants at all levels of golf. The curriculum will be the "Par"
and "Birdie" level of The First Tee. Juniors will be assessed and taken to the "next
level" of golfing skills. This session includes: golf instruction, nine core
values, snacks, contests and daily play on the golf course; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
will be on course play. All programs will be conducted at The Chi Chi Rodriguez
Academy.
