Correct swing tempo is probably the most important fundamental toward hitting your VERY LONGEST...and your MOST ACCURATE golf shots! But did you know that it is NOT your 100% hardest and fastest swings that achieve the longest and straightest shots?

Maximum POWER in golf comes from maximizing clubhead speed, not maximum swing speed! Too fast a swing will usually be shorter, and steeper, which actually slows clubhead speed. Ideal tempo is about 80%!

During my tournament touring days, the world #1 player at that time (guess who) told me, “If you want to hit your LONGEST...with maximum ACCURACY too, you’ve got to swing BIG, not too fast!” Then he taught me exactly HOW to do that. And most all the great tour players of today will tell you exactly the same. Seconds prior to takeaway, you must have a Thought Process in mind that will produce a set of conditions within your swing that will make its radius the widest possible, the arc of the clubhead the longest possible, and most importantly, KEEP them that way…throughout the backswing…and especially coming down and forward through the ball.

This is achieved by a golf swing that is slightly slower than your full speed. For optimum success in golf ball-striking, you must learn HOW to slow down your swing just a bit! This sounds so simple, doesn’t it? But surprisingly, it’s VERY HARD TO DO!
