About The Dunes Golf Club at Seville
This newly renovated Arthur Hills-designed, award-winning layout offers a wonderfully undulating landscape of closely mown fairways, level tee boxes and large sloping greens surrounded by acres and acres of natural habitat. This championship layout has all the aspects golfers dream about; a challenging course, practice range and green and professional instruction from the area's finest teaching professionals, all without the high priced fees of similar public-access facilities.
The course is scheduled to reopen for public play on June 1 but The Dunes will have a special advance Ride ‘N Peek tour of the course prior to the reopening, on Friday May 16 and Saturday May 17.
This event will be a fundraiser for “Leas Prayers and Postage” which provides the cost of postage for other groups involved with sending our troops overseas packages from home. Lea, a Hernando county resident, gave his life while serving our country last year.
This Organization is run by his mother D. Mills of Spring Hill. In addition to the cart tour, each participant at registration will receive a Two-for-One voucher for a future round of golf and complimentary hotdogs and beverages.
To support this cause, a $5.00 donation will allow each person to participate in the Closest to the Pin contest for a shot at a one year membership and for another $5.00 donation participants will receive a video swing analysis by Steve LaFalce, PGTAA Master Teaching Professional.
According to Jim Cocchi, PGA Professional and Director of Operations, “The course has seen an enormous improvement project take place over the last 18 months and players of all abilities will find this “newly renovated” course one of the very best on the Nature Coast for the money, if not the best!" “We’re looking at providing a retreat for golfers so they can bring their golf games for play or practice at a layout that is unsurpassed in the area. Plus, we’ll have more upgrades to the facility over the next few months and that will truly separate our affordable experience from other semi-private and public fee facilities."
