First Tee of St. Petersburg Introduces Its Partners Program

To address the need for support of junior golf instruction and quality youth development programming in St. Petersburg, The First Tee of St. Petersburg has introduced the Partners Program, an opportunity for you to make a difference in your community by investing in the future of our youth.

Since becoming a chapter of The First Tee youth development initiative in April 2005, The First Tee of St. Petersburg has positively impacted more than 2,500 children with golf instruction, life skills education and character development. Participants learn key characteristics such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, and respect, as well as how to get along with others, set goals and maintain a positive attitude as they become skilled at the game of golf. A key component of the Life Skills Education is the 9 Core Values of The First Tee, which instill in participants the characteristics necessary to develop into well-rounded, moral individuals and future leaders of St. Petersburg. 

For a renewable gift of $50 annually, you will help support the goals of The First Tee of St. Petersburg in bringing quality golf instruction, equipment, range access and character development education to approximately 1,400 St. Petersburg area youth, ages 6-18, each year. You will also assist in addressing the increasing needs of our community’s youth through specialized programming for groups such as Special Olympics, home-schoolers and other organizations, with an emphasis on the economically disadvantaged.

While programming at The First Tee of St. Petersburg is funded primarily through registration fees, scholarships are provided for those who cannot afford to participate from the remainder of their funding, which comes from grants, donations, special events and fundraising. That is where the Partners Program comes in. Your investment in the youth of the community supports an organization committed to the philosophy of developing well-rounded individuals. They support you with their commitment to quality programming and youth development education, designed to produce outstanding future leaders.
