Father-Son Golf Title Goes To Williamses

Dennis and Joe Williams collaborated on a 36-hole score of 144 (68-76) to win the Second Annual Father-Son Team Championship of Tampa Bay in December 2005 at Tarpon Woods Country Club in Palm Harbor. Dennis, of Tarpon Springs, and Joe, of Palm Harbor were tied with Steve and Andrew Turker of Dunedin with two holes to play before Dennis, 59, sank a 15-foot putt for par on the 17th hole and a 6-footer for par on the final hole and the Turkers bogeyed both for 66-80. Mick and Tyson McClimans of Tampa also shot 146 (68-78) and placed second on a match of cards. Rick and Richie Hurley of Belleair captured net honors with 124 (59-65).
