In this age of “Big Box” golf stores, it’s nice to know there’s a family owned and operated business that meets its customer’s needs better than the “big boys”.

Twenty years later, there are two T&D Golf locations. The original shop has expanded exponentially into a 7,000-square-foot, full-service golf store. The Oldsmar store specializes in building custom clubs on the premises. You’ll also find thousands of used clubs, including drivers, fairway metals, hybrids, sets of irons, wedges and putters. Oldest son Deason runs this operation. The Oldsmar Flea Market is at the northwest corner of SR 580 and Race Track Road. Terry Smith, a club professional from Rocky Mount, NC moved to Tampa in 1983 with wife Marjorie and their two young sons, Deason and Ben. In 1986, Terry, Marjorie and Deason started T&D Golf in a 10-sq. ft. booth at the Oldsmar Flea Market.

The Tampa store, located at 4205 W. Waters Avenue, opened in 1996. This 3,500-sq. ft. shop offers new clubs from most major golf manufacturers, including: Titleist, Cobra, Ping, Nike, TaylorMade, Callaway, Mizuno, Adams, Cleveland and many others. It also features a vast inventory of recent model used clubs, including sets of irons, drivers, fairway metals, hybrids, wedges and putters.

Youngest son Ben runs the Tampa store. Terry has retired from the business and Marjorie still works part-time.

Both T&D locations offer full service, on-site club repair, new and used golf balls, shoes, bags and accessories. Everything for your golfing needs.

Vector Launch Monitor Fittings

Both locations offer vector launch monitor fittings. With a launch monitor fitting you can get your launch angle, trajectory and ball spin optimized for maximum distance.

Try Before You Buy

T&D Golf offers an aggressive club demo policy. There’s no substitute for trying a new club, or set of clubs, on the golf course. Demo clubs can be signed out for up to a week.

Trades Welcome

Terry Smith pioneered the concept of taking clubs in trade. He has been trading clubs since 1976. At T&D Golf you can be assured of receiving fair value for your old clubs.

Customer Service

Customer service is a top priority and the cornerstone of the Smith’s success. The staffs at both locations are friendly and knowledgable. “We believe in being fair,” said Ben Smith. “There’s never any sales pressure. Come by and we’ll help you play better golf.”
